I am working with the Desktop version. I created an extract of the data and prepared dashboards using the extracts. This will change my dashboards too as I have to re-establish the connection to the new extract file.

Is there a way to overcome that? I don't have server connection available with me. Typically, you'd connect to a data source Excel, csv, or a database then create the extract from that. When you go back to make changes to something like the extract filters and save it, it should just refresh that same extract file.

It gives me that sometimes just click on the same file you've been saving it as and it'll ask if you're sure to replace it like when you do save as in excel. If that doesn't work you can probably cheat and save it to another folder that you create in there and then just copy paste it into the old folder and replace the file.
